Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the Alias game (the “app”) collects, why it is needed and how you can control it. The app is made by an independent developer (“we”). Send any questions about your data to defaemps@gmail.com.
In short
- No sign-up: we don’t know your name, email or phone number.
- There are no ads and no tracking across apps.
- We collect usage statistics and crash reports through AppMetrica. They aren’t linked to your name.
- Apple processes payments, and RevenueCat keeps track of purchases.
- Team photos and settings stay on your device.
1. What data is collected
Statistics and crash reports — AppMetrica
AppMetrica, a service by Yandex, receives:
- the AppMetrica device ID and Apple’s identifier for vendor (IDFV);
- device model, iOS and app versions, system language and region;
- IP address, used to estimate your approximate location (country or city);
- in-app activity: screens opened, buttons tapped, categories selected;
- crash and freeze reports.
Why: to understand which features and categories players enjoy and to fix bugs quickly.
Purchases — RevenueCat
RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA) receives:
- a random anonymous ID created on first launch, and the IDFV;
- App Store purchase details: which product was bought, when, and the transaction ID;
- App Store country, device model, iOS and app versions, IP address.
Why: to confirm your Alias Premium purchase, unlock the paid categories and restore the purchase on another device.
Payments are processed by Apple under its privacy policy. We never receive or store your card details.
2. What stays on your device
- Game settings: round duration, points to win, sound. They are deleted together with the app.
- Team names and photos. The camera and photo library open only when you tap, and the photos you pick are never sent anywhere.
3. What we don’t do
- we don’t ask you to sign up and don’t collect your name, email, phone number or contacts;
- we don’t use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and don’t track you across other apps and websites;
- we don’t request access to your location;
- we don’t show ads or sell data.
4. Who receives the data
Only AppMetrica and RevenueCat receive data, for the purposes described above, plus Apple when you pay. Each service handles it under its own privacy policy: Yandex, RevenueCat. Their servers may be located outside your country.
We may disclose data if the law requires it.
5. Retention and deletion
We don’t run servers of our own: the data is kept by AppMetrica and RevenueCat for the periods set out in their policies. It isn’t linked to your name or any account.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what data about you is processed, to correct or delete it, and to object to its processing. To use these rights, email defaemps@gmail.com — we will reply within 30 days. Data on your device is deleted together with the app.
6. Children
The app isn’t specifically directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe we have received a child’s data, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, and the date at the top shows when it took effect.
